Around Heathrow

London’s Heathrow Airport is one of the most important airports in the World, serving millions of passengers a year. Flights from all around the World start and end in this major hub, and part of the reason for its success is how they managed to keep up with the times and accurately modernizing the airport facilities in due time.
Getting to and from Heathrow airport is made easy by the London public transport authorities. Two different train routes – the Heathrow Connect that has a couple of stops before the airport and the Heathrow Express that has a direct route to the airport – connect the center of the city to its most important airport. There are also four subway stations serving the airport, practically one for every terminal. There are also several buses making the route to the airport, asides from the obvious taxis that can get you there also.
Around the airport there are several facilities of interest also. There are many restaurants and hotels close to the airport, some even within walking distance from the terminals. And long were the days that finding cheap hotels at Heathrow Airport was a daunting task, now many low cost hotels found their way to the airport, much like the low cost airlines did.
